The cask proof version of our ever-popular Roundstone Rye is a very special expression. This expression is finished in a hickory syrup barrel, which gives bit of a smoky note to an already extraordinary whisky.

Becky says, "The whiskey at 120 proof this year, is a rich burnt amber. The nose on this whiskey is panela and raw cinnamon with a distant wisp of campfire smoke. On the first sip is a lovely simmering cascade of heat and texture over the tongue with white pepper, clove, cinnamon, gingerbread and anise. The finish is lush with the sweet syrup texture dried with the shagbark hickory from the syrup, grapefruit and lime peel. I really would love to pair this with a piece of key lime pie."
